Description
Tramin
Artist and producer SAKARIS returns with a wild detour from his usual synth-laced pop in the form of “Tramin” – a raw, unfiltered burst of musical mayhem written in his native tongue Faroese.
The single is a self-aware, goofy ode to getting older, losing touch, and trying (and maybe failing?) to stay relevant and alive inside.
Written in a moment of existential panic as SAKARIS approached his 38th birthday, “Tramin” is part midlife crisis, part joyous meltdown. Trading sleek production for something far more unhinged, the track fuses wailing vocals, lo-fi textures, and a chaotic acoustic palette into what might be best described as “a cartoonish protest against apathy.”
“The first words of the song are “what the heck just happened here?” I guess I was trying to outrun the dread of turning 40 by screaming into a microphone and letting everything fall apart a little,” SAKARIS says. “It’s a mess!”
Known for his colorful alternative pop with 80s flair and video game sparkle, SAKARIS takes a left turn with “Tramin” – embracing imperfection, confusion, and goofy despair as tools for catharsis.
