‘It’s anti-music…’ someone said, and for some reason those words stuck with me. They captured the feeling I had while making it—a Faroese techno anthem with a sprinkle of acid, made in a country where the acoustic guitar has become the epitome of ‘proper’ music… when all you really want is some techno. Teknó eigur lívið í mær marks his first release in six years and is the first time he releases on Tutl Records.
2. Paradís (Tareq Remix)
Back in 2022, Tareq—one half of the DJ/production duo Boys’ Shorts—remixed this track. We first connected online, and as I got to know his music, he asked if he could remix my 2019 track Paradís. Of course, I couldn’t say no. The result? A banger. An energetic remix driven by a bassline that carries the track forward—it finally felt right to release it alongside Teknó eigur lívið í mær.
