Pain

Emotional pain is a universal human experience. It’s an unseen, intangible source of affliction that impacts the heart, body, and mind. There will come a time when we all will feel sadness, anxiety, and anger. The inspiration for “Pain” came about when Anna cried daily, distressed from the ache of her psyche. The bereavement and personal loss profoundly shook her heart and being. Overwhelmed, it became dominant, disrupted, and overshadowed her quality of life.

As a child, Anna utilized her creative outlet of music and dance as a coping mechanism for her C-PTSD. Later, as a teenager, she dealt with her second traumatic experience by writing poetry which became a survival tool for her artistic expression. This allowed the emotional catharsis in processing and expressing Anna’s emotional “Pain” into writing and composing a song where one can dance the pain away.
