Since his latest release back in 2023, Jón Eliassen has kept a low profile while writing new music in his home studio. Having both recorded and produced all four tracks on the new EP, the Faroese artist promises music that diGers from his previous releases.
Overnight Sensation is meant to be listened to as one planned, a cohesive presentation, that delves into themes such as: escapism, loneliness and self-confidence. The genre on this new release could mainly be categorized as pop, but it also draws from synth-pop, city-pop, electronica as well as jazz music.
So get ready for some new tunes featuring warm 80’s keyboards, lush synths and hooky choruses that will help anyone get through the summer while also pleasing those who want to take over the dancefloor.
