1. Nætur Níggju
Song about Odin hanging for 9 nights and days on the tree of life Yggdrasil. His sacrifice brought him the knowledge of the runes and clear vision.

2. Ravnur
About the raven! The raven is the winged master of the sky and lives in solitude amongst the plains and mountains! Ravens had very symbolic character and importance in Viking times and were connected to Odin! A form of tax was introduced in the Faroe Islands called nevtollur or beak duty. Every male was expected to deliver 1 or 2 beaks every year to the authorities. The tax was abolished in 1881.

3. De røvere 12
A Danish medieval ballad about 12 bandits invading and harassing a farmer and his wife around the time of Yule. The nobleman Herr Peter Hoseøl ( Peder Nielsen Hoseøl, d. .1298) gets alarmed and takes the bandits and they are all sentenced a harsh punishment and later executed.

4. Ægir
Ægir is the god of the seas in northern mythology! He is the ruler of the wide ocean and all the lakes! Joined by his wife Rán they patiently await the drowned souls of the sea, who will then sit by their side for all eternity.

5. Brestiskvæði
The incidents taking place in Brestis Kvæði, mark the beginning of the bitter feud in Færeyinga Saga, between the chieftains Sigmundur & Tróndur! The father of Sigmundur gets killed along with his brother Beinir by an alliance of Havgrímur and Tróndur – the dramatic scenes takes place on the desolate Stóra Dímun.

6. Náttargestir
About walking between villages at night following the stone cairns with only the moon as a light. In old folklore the stones become alive and Huldufólk and trolls roam the dark mountains! Alone on the path, surrounded by everything living, you wait for the first rays of the sun to rise.

7. Hildinakvæði
The young student George Low from Scotland, wrote down the song of William Henry,
one of the last speakers of Norn on the island of Foula in 1774 on the Shetland Isles. Henry sang for him the ballad of Hildina which he remembered from the old timesThis is our ode to him and our attempt to sing the ballad in both Faroese and in NORN

8. Vargalív
About Torkil Turrafrost who lived outlawed in the Norwegian mountains! As he lived as an outlaw he called himself Úlvur (Wolf). Foster-father of Sigmundur Brestisson and father to Tóra who later become Sigmund´s wife and resided on Skúvoy.

9. Sálareldur
Song about laying low and counting the days. On the last night you join in a ringdance and later in the night find out you are only surrounded by the Norns in the ring and they eagerly and joyfully await you.
