With this recording, Faroese vocal group Bollarnir depart from their normal a cappella sound, seeking to hit a distinct vibe, which resonates with the long Faroese summer nights. The narrative voice encourages the addressee to come on and join them for one more ride, to steal away, hiding in the light of the long summer nights, chasing that feeling, which is as fleeting as the scent of that special someone, and yet as real as that which was. It’s an invitation to momentarily embrace that carefree feeling of summer romance, to fly off – on a moped – leaving behind the rules of what cannot be. The listener is invited to come along …
