Pub on the Corner is a song about an old pub in Tórshavn called Mimir. Mimir is one of those pubs that was created as an excuse to drink in the times when alcohol was banned in the Faroe Island from 1908 to 1992. The pub was only allowed to serve members, but since 1992 the pub has been open for everyone.
