Konni Kass is a band that hatched in early 2015, and has since garnered a lot of hype, following various appearances on festivals in Germany, Denmark, Faroe Islands, and Denmark. They have been interviewed on nationwide radio-interviews in Germany, and were nominated for a ‘best emerging talent’ award, Anchor 2016, at Reeperbahn Festival, which is an award that is 'designed to become an international quality label'.
They have released their debut album, HAPHE, in November 2016. The title stems from the greek word of the same name, meaning ‘touch’ or ‘contact’.
Although Konni Kass (vocals, saxophone) has written the lyrics and the majority of the songs herself, the album has come about as a collaboration between her and the three brilliant musicians, Knút Háberg Eysturstein (rhodes, synths, organ), Per Ingvaldur Højgaard Petersen (drums, percussion), and Torleik Mortensen (bass, effects), and as a result they consider themselves as a band outfit.
